We are loving the look of industrial farmhouse shelving! You can tackle this DIY project for just about any size space using and old piece of scrap wood or new wood. There is a fun shelving idea for every room in your home from creating displays above toilets, little boys bedrooms, gallery walls, pantries & more! You don't have to stick to just shelves either! You create anything from towel bars, coat racks and lighting from a few pieces of piping picked up from your local hardware store.

Now for the nitty gritty of the project.

We always recommend finding studs prior to hanging any shelf. I love my stud finder & level (I much prefer a laser level because it has a longer reach). Keep in mind, for current homes the studs are usually 16” apart, if you have an older home it may vary.
